Brodie Heginbotham

Volunteer Oak Youth Director

I am from Edenton, North Carolina, the home of the second most famous annual Peanut Festival in all of Northeastern North Carolina.  I moved to Chapel Hill in 2015 for college at UNC and Durham in 2019 to study at Duke Divinity School, and have been here ever since. I live with my spouse Gwen, our dog Mia and cat Henri, and my favorite place to hang out in Durham is Joe Van Gogh Woodcroft with a friend and a latte.

One random fact that you should know about me is that I spent my high school years at an arts conservatory studying classical and jazz double bass. When I’m not at Oak Church, I love to read, make things out of wood, and spend time with friends.  If you’d like to talk about theology and economics, the intersection of the church and civic action, or New Testament Greek, then I’m your person.
