Bethie Figgie

Resident Artist

I am from Bellingham, WA, the home of endless grey drizzle, no cockroaches, excellent teriyaki, and clean sea air. I moved to Durham in 2017 for goodness knows why and have been here ever since. I live with two roommates plus one cat, and my favorite place to hang out in Durham is the Scrap Exchange or the Eno River with strangers that also enjoy being there!

One random fact that you should know about me is that if I see a paperclip or safety pin on the ground, I will pick it up to keep. When I’m not at Oak Church’s potluck, I love to ride my bike, dance to loud music, or enjoy a drink on the porch (especially when its raining or stormy!). If you’d like to talk about hospitality, community, or all the ways to cook an egg, then I’m your person.
