Toph Banke

Oak Music Director

I grew up in Central Florida, the home of Publix and sunburns.  I moved to Durham in 2020 from NYC to build community and put roots down with my wife Anna, and we have been here ever since.  We live at the end of a gravel road near Duke Park with our basset hound, Goose, and my favorite place to hang out in Durham is either picking out books at The Regulator Bookshop with Anna, or thumbing through records next door at Hunky Dory.

One random fact that you should know about me is that I spent my 20s touring around the country with my best friends playing folk music!  When I’m not serving in Oak Church’s music ministry, I love to nerd out about the Bible, listen to podcasts and pretend I know how to play the banjo that’s been collecting dust in the corner of my living room.  If you’d like to talk about joining the Worship Team (singing/playing/running sound), then I’m your person!
