Madeline Erwich

Pastoral Intern

I am from Beverly, Massachusetts, the home of George Washington’s first naval base (according to my grandfather—the neighboring town of Marblehead would disagree).  I moved to Durham in 2024 for grad school and have been here ever since.   I live with two lovely roommates, and my favorite place to hang out in Durham is the Al Buehler trail with any of my friends who like a walk-and-talk.

One random fact that you should know about me is that I have two younger sisters, Georgette and Estelle, and all three of us appear on the 2028 list of Eastern Pacific hurricane names.  When I’m not at Oak Church’s Sunday potluck, I love to read fiction, write short stories, and go partner dancing.  If you’d like to talk about pastoral care, chaplaincy, or the intersection of faith and medicine, then I’m your person.
