Oak Youth Director & Elder Team Member (Class of 2026)
Gwen helps guide Oak Youth as they discover how faith and community take shape in their everyday lives. She has a Master’s in Spiritual Formation and Leadership from Friends University and has taught yoga, prayer, and embodied art workshops at churches and retreats. Gwen lives in Durham with her husband Brodie and their collection of pets. She loves animals, poetry, and good books, and practices a vegan life shaped by her interest in animal theology. She also serves as Artist-in-Residence for Seeds of Faith at Camp Chestnut Ridge with former Oak pastor, Meg Hoffman. When not at Oak, she’s probably trying to befriend a neighborhood cat or plotting how to fit goats into her yard.
